Privacy-First Architecture: Scan to PDF is an account-free, on-device utility. We do not require accounts, logins, or cloud synchronization. Your documents, photos, signatures, OCR texts, and object counts reside exclusively on your physical device.
1. Instant On-Device Data Deletion (User Self-Service)
Because your scanned files and preferences never leave your device, you have complete and immediate control to delete them at any time:
- Delete Individual Scans: Open the app, swipe left or tap the trash icon on any document or folder to permanently erase it from device storage.
- Clear All App Data via Android Settings:
- Open your phone's Settings.
- Navigate to Apps (or App Management) > Scan to PDF.
- Tap Storage & cache.
- Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data). This immediately wipes all local database records, cached thumbnails, and saved documents.
- Uninstall the Application: Uninstalling Scan to PDF permanently purges all sandboxed application files, temporary caches, and database tables from your phone.
2. Deletion of Telemetry & Diagnostic Data (Firebase & AdMob)
The app integrates trusted Google SDKs for stability and ads:
- Firebase Crashlytics: Anonymized crash logs and device hardware details.
- Firebase Analytics: Aggregated screen navigation metrics (no personal document contents or OCR data).
- Google AdMob: Standard pseudonymous advertising identifiers (GAID).
If you wish to submit a formal request to purge any associated pseudonymous telemetry identifiers from our analytics dashboards, you may submit a request directly to our developer team.
3. How to Submit a Data Deletion Request
To request data deletion, email our developer support team with the following details:

4. Response Timeline & Retention
- Local Files: Deleted immediately by you via device settings or uninstallation.
- Developer Request Processing: We acknowledge and process all data deletion email requests within 30 days.
- Retention: We do not operate remote document servers or retain user documents after local deletion.
